FITNESS

Deer Lake has devoted our fitness area to Free Weights, Circuit and Cardiovascular Training and TRX equipment. With your membership we also offer Strength, Cycle, Yoga, Aqua and Aerobic classes. We also have air purifiers in every room. Get in the gym and build that immune system!

Class Descriptions

    • A Little Bit of Everything (ALBOE) – A cardio, yoga, strength and core workout for all levels.
    • Aqua Aero Mix – A fun, low impact workout using the water as resistance, this class is a hybrid of aqua aerobics and aqua Zumba. Great for anyone with joint pain.
    • Aqua Deep Aerobics – Improve your endurance in deep water with zero impact.
    • Balance & Flex – Standing and seated mobility exercises emphasizing continuous rhythmic ranges of movement.
    • Barre – Rigorous workout blending elements from different disciplines, including ballet,
      pilates & yoga.
    • Bootcamp – Whole body workout using a combination of HIIT, strength training and athletic drills. All skill levels welcome!
    • Cardio – Endurance exercise that strengthens the cardiovascular system.
    • Cardio/Strength – A combination of our Cardio & Strength Classes.
    • Core & More – Exercises coordinating abdominal and back muscles while tightening and toning the core to improve functional strength for daily activities.
    • Cut & Burn — a full-body workout. New workouts every week using AMRAP
      (As Many Reps As Possible) sets working at your own pace. All levels welcome.
    • Cycle – Enhance your cardio workouts with this heart pumping, calorie burning session
      on a stationary bike.
    • Flex/Fusion – Increases muscular endurance and toning with weights and movement and an emphasis on stretching to increase overall flexibility.
    • Gentle Yoga – Enjoy hatha yoga at a slower, more restorative pace. Great for those just beginning a routine.
    • Pilates – Focuses on the core and promotes flexibility to develop leaner-looking muscles.
    • Slow Flow Yoga – The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose instead of moving to each breath.
    • Strength – A total body workout using weights, resistance bands and body weight to sculpt arms, legs, abs, back and glutes.
    • Yoga – An intermediate form of yoga focused on coordination, breathing, and continual movement. All skill levels welcome.
    • Zumba – A fitness program alternating fast and slow dance moves to improve cardiovascular health.
    • Zumba Gold – Based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba class but with less impact.
      Can be done at any pace. If you like to dance, this is the class for you!

**Group fitness classes are cancelled on all major Holidays including New Year’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
